Eventual Pleasant Hill area in 1910 (portion of USGS Concord Quadrangle).  North-south roads were Pleasant Hill Road, Contra Costa Blvd, and Oak Grove/Meadow Lane. Corner of Oak Park and Putnam points to the low hill just west of PHHS.  The topographic lines suggest why winter flooding was natural in the low lands in the north portion of the map.
